v1.0.2
November 7, 2012
VST 2.4, made with VSTGUI 4.0

Azurite is a multi-voice chorus with a focus on rich sounds and versatile controls. My goal in designing it was to make as flexible a chorus as possible without losing great tones and ease of use. The result is an effect that will be handy for producers, guitarists, and glitch lovers alike.

Unlike most choruses, Azurite allows for multiple simultaneous voices. Each of these voices has its own delay line that is modulated by a separate LFO. Adding multiple voices leads to a thicker, smoother, and less wobbly tone. It also makes vivid stereo spreading possible with a mono signal. The Voices control chooses how many voices the chorus uses: one, two, four, or eight.

Other main features:
- Stereo or mono operation.
- Colour control emulates vintage analog choruses.
- 2-band EQ.
- LFO tempo sync.
- Feedback control allows for flanger sounds.
- 27 built-in presets.
- Delay time from 0.2ms to 200ms.
- 7 LFO shapes: Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Ramp, Exponential, Inverse Exponential, and Random.
- Spread control for stereo widening of a mono signal.
- Control randomizer.
- Other controls: Depth, Speed, Wet Mix, Output, Separation, Dry Delay.

The controls:

	Sidebar

Effect On/Bypass - This switches the effect on or off.

Mono/Stereo - This switches between mono and stereo operation.

LFO - This displays the LFO signal for the first chorus voice.

	Main Panel

Voices - This controls the number of delay lines that are used in the wet signal. Having more voices leads to a thicker chorus sound.

Depth - This controls the amount that the delay lines are modulated.

Speed - This controls the speed of the LFO. This knob is not functional when Sync is on.

Shape - This controls the shape of the LFO waveform. Choices are Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Ramp, Exponential, Inverse Exponential, and Random.

Wet Mix - This controls the balance between the dry signal and the wet chorus signal.

Delay - This controls the delay time of the delay lines. Turning this up increases the pitch shifting from the chorus.

Output - This boosts or cuts the output signal level.

	Side Panel

Sync - This section controls the LFO syncing to the host's tempo. The On/Off button controls whether the LFO speed is controlled by the speed knob or the sync section. The sliders and the fraction display control the length of the LFO period. For example, if the display reads 3/8, then the LFO length is three eighth notes.

Feedback - This controls the amount that the wet signal is fed back to the input. It's fun to play around with for resonant or glitchy sounds.

Spread - This control spreads out the voices in stereo. It's only functional when there are 2 or more voices and the input is set to mono.

Separation - This controls the amount of delay between each voice. Turning this up can reduce the amount of flanging when using multiple voices by separating each voice from the others.

Dry Delay - This control allows you to add a delay to the dry signal. This control and the Separation and Feedback controls can be used to set up flanger sounds. See the presets for examples.

Bass - This control cuts or boosts bass by up to 6dB.

Treble - This control cuts or boosts treble by up to 6dB.

Colour - Turning this down emulates the warmth and distortion of an analog BBD chorus.
