Trey Songz vs. a World Champion Boxer? 50 Cent Confirms the Wild Story
50 Cent has confirmed that Trey Songz once tried to fight world champion boxer Terence Crawford—seemingly over a woman.
Speaking on Cigar Talk this week, Crawford recalled a tense moment with the R&B singer during one of 50’s Tycoon weekends in Houston. Things started off lighthearted when Trey bet Crawford $100 on a halftime shooting contest at a celebrity basketball game. But after losing, Trey allegedly refused to pay up—and then things escalated.
“I don’t know if dude was drunk or something, but he just started tripping,” Crawford said. “He was like, ‘I don’t care if you the world champion.’ I’m like, ‘Is he serious?’”
Sensing the situation could spiral, 50 Cent stepped in to shut it down. “50 comes over like, ‘Whoa, T, don’t fuck up the bag on this n-gga,’” Crawford recalled.
Later at dinner, 50 couldn’t resist bringing it up again. “He gets on the mic and says, ‘We got Bud about to beat up Trey Songz,’” Crawford laughed. Trey eventually dapped him up, and the tension faded.
50 later confirmed the story in a now-deleted Instagram post, suggesting Trey’s frustration stemmed from Basketball Wives: Orlando star Mulan Hernandez. “My God 🤦🏽♂️ This is true. I said, ‘Trey, you want to fight Bud?!’ [The] n-gga’s the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. Wtf is wrong with you, Gang?” he wrote. “Trey was really tripping over that girl @mulanhernandez—she fine, LOL.”
This isn’t the first time 50 has had issues with Trey at Tycoon Weekend. In 2022, he banned him after claiming the singer wrecked a Rolls-Royce and caused chaos in his hotel room.
Trey has yet to respond, but one thing’s for sure—picking a fight with a world champ is a bold move.
