"Sexyy Red Rejects WWE Deal – Says No Time for Wrestling Training!"

Sexyy Red Turned Down WWE Wrestling Career – Here’s Why

Sexyy Red nearly stepped into the world of professional wrestling, but her music career wouldn’t allow it.

In a recent interview with Dazed Digital, the rapper revealed that after making a 2024 WWE cameo alongside Shawn Michaels, she was actually offered a full-time role as a wrestler. However, the intense training schedule clashed with her already-packed music career, forcing her to turn it down.

"I actually got offered a permanent role as a wrestler in WWE, but I couldn’t find the time to train properly, so I settled for a cameo instead," she explained.

Despite missing out on the opportunity, she sees a connection between rap and wrestling, saying, "It’s not quite acting, but it’s kind of acting too, right? When we take off all our jewels and costumes, we go back to reality with our families."

From the Wrestling Ring to the Studio

Sexyy Red may have passed on WWE, but she hasn’t slowed down in the music world. Most recently, she teamed up with Bruno Mars for a new song titled "Fat Juicy & Wet."

Bruno first teased the collaboration online, posting, "Headed to the studio to make a strip club anthem. Someone help me get in touch with Sexyy Red!"

She wasted no time responding, dropping a playful "Heyyyyyy Bruno!" in the comments before tagging him again on X. Just three days later, the song was released, quickly gaining attention for its raunchy lyrics and club-ready vibe.

Joe Budden Isn’t a Fan

Not everyone is on board with the new track, though. Joe Budden took issue with the song, calling out what he believes is an industry formula used to market music to Black audiences.

"Sexyy Red, when it’s time to sell a mixtape or get things popping in the hood, it’s always the raunchiest, nastiest lyrics because we like that," Budden said on his podcast.

He also criticized Bruno Mars, pointing out that one of his lyrics, "Pussy so good, make me wanna gangbang and throw up a set," felt like a cheap attempt to appeal to Black listeners.

"It’s the same thing Trump does when he tries to connect with Black people. Why do artists feel like they have to bring gang culture into their music just to appeal to us?" Budden asked.

Sexyy Red Stays in the Spotlight

While Budden’s criticism sparked a debate, it’s clear that Sexyy Red isn’t slowing down anytime soon. From nearly becoming a WWE wrestler to making waves in the music industry, she knows how to keep the world talking.

Whether it’s wrestling, rap, or controversy, one thing is certain—Sexyy Red is here to stay.
