A$AP Relli Speaks Out After Rocky’s Acquittal: ‘I Don’t Care What Y’all Say’
A$AP Relli has finally broken his silence after A$AP Rocky was found not guilty in their highly publicized shooting case. And if you were expecting remorse or reflection, think again—Relli made it clear he’s unfazed by the backlash.
The former A$AP Mob member accused Rocky of shooting him during a heated dispute in Hollywood back in November 2021. Prosecutors charged Rocky with two felony counts of assault with a firearm, and if convicted, he faced up to 10 years in prison. But after weeks of trial testimony, a California jury sided with the rapper, finding him not guilty and allowing him to walk away a free man.
Since losing the case, Relli has been the target of widespread criticism. In his first public response, he took to Instagram Stories to address the noise, posting a defiant message aimed at his haters.
“Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life,” he wrote. “Hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me—I don’t care. Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life [praying hands emoji].”
That didn’t stop social media from piling on. 50 Cent, who publicly supported Rocky throughout the case, took a victory lap, clowning Relli in a since-deleted Instagram post. “Not guilty. I told [ninja emoji] I would bet 500,000K he gonna beat it when A$AP Telli started getting tired of telling 5 days straight. BOOM. Now stay sucker-free,” he wrote.
A$AP Mob affiliate A$AP Ant also took shots at Relli, calling him a “stupid fool” and sharing an image of him testifying in court.
Rocky, meanwhile, has been all smiles since the verdict. Addressing the media outside the courthouse, he was visibly relieved, thanking God and the jury for “making the right decision.”
“I’m just so thankful,” he said. “This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years, but I’m thankful nonetheless. We blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y’all. All praise be to God.”
He also dropped a cryptic message on social media that has fans buzzing: “DON’T BE DUMB.” Many believe this could be a reference to his long-awaited new album, which has been teased for years.
Rocky’s acquittal was widely celebrated by some of the biggest names in music. His girlfriend Rihanna, who has stood by him throughout the case, posted: “The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by his mercy.”
Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator also showed support, further proving that Rocky’s inner circle remains strong despite the drama.
As for Relli, it’s unclear what’s next. He may have lost in court, but his Instagram post suggests he’s not backing down anytime soon. Whether that means more legal action or simply trying to move on remains to be seen.
