Drake Set to Make History as Wireless Festival’s First-Ever Three-Night Headliner
Drake is taking over London’s Wireless Festival like never before! The rap superstar is set to headline all three nights of the festival’s 20th anniversary edition, delivering a unique experience each night with a lineup of special guests.
Going down from July 11 to 13 at Finsbury Park, the weekend will showcase three distinct performances from Drizzy. Friday night will feature R&B vibes as PARTYNEXTDOOR joins him on stage, likely performing songs from their joint project, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. Summer Walker is also expected to make an appearance, bringing even more soulful energy to the night.
Saturday’s show, dubbed “Drake & The Mandem,” is set to be a UK rap celebration. Expect appearances from some of the biggest British artists he has collaborated with over the years—Skepta, Giggs, Central Cee, Dave, and Headie One are all rumored to be in the mix.
Drake will close out the festival on Sunday with an Afrobeats and Dancehall-infused set, bringing out none other than Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel. While no other guests have been confirmed yet, fans can expect more surprises before the full lineup is announced.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 19, via the Wireless Festival’s official website.
Interestingly, while Drake is all in for three nights in London, he reportedly turned down a similar opportunity at Rolling Loud, one of the biggest hip-hop festivals in the U.S. Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif recently revealed that they once offered Drake a “Three Nights of Drake” deal, but he declined. The reason? Still unknown.
For now, though, London fans are in for a historic festival weekend as the 6 God takes center stage like never before.
