Suge Knight Fires Back at Ray J Over ‘Life Rights’ Claim—And His Son Wants a Fight
Suge Knight isn’t holding back when it comes to Ray J’s recent claims about Death Row Records. The former music mogul, currently serving time for manslaughter, shut down Ray J’s statement that he owns Knight’s “life rights” and made it clear he’s ready to take legal action.
In a heated interview with The Art of Dialogue, Knight warned the singer-turned-entrepreneur:
“Let me tell you something, lil boy, now you playing with my kids and my family, so we gonna play with yours. Since you say you got my life rights and you gonna mess up the money my family gets, I’m gonna sue your punk ass. I will get every dime you get, every dime your mama hide.”
But that wasn’t all. Knight also called out Ray J for pretending he didn’t know about former Death Row singer Danny Boy’s sexuality, accusing him of playing games for clout.
“Danny Boy is not my son, but I always loved him like a son. Ray J, you knew Danny Boy was gay when Danny Boy was slipping and sliding. What I love about Danny Boy is he owned it, and I’m proud of him for that.”
Suge also slammed Ray J for speaking on Death Row’s history when, according to him, he wasn’t really there during its prime.
“Don’t go on nobody’s show talking about the real Death Row, 2Pac, or myself. He wasn’t around then. Everybody throwing gossip, playing these games.”
Suge Knight Jr. Challenges Ray J to a Fight
If that wasn’t enough, Knight’s son, Suge Knight Jr., jumped into the mix and took things a step further. In an Instagram video, he straight-up challenged Ray J to a fight.
“Aye Ray J, real quick bro, how about we set up this fade?” he said. “You want to talk about my family? You want to spread lies? Let’s run that. Suge J vs. Ray J.”
Knight Jr. then made it clear he’s not the one to mess with, taking a jab at Ray J’s past feuds with Diddy’s sons.
“I ain’t the Combses, my n*a. Trust me.”**
Ray J’s History with Death Row
Ray J has been making several claims about his past with Suge Knight and Death Row in a string of interviews. He has insisted that he spent time around the label in the ’90s and denied knowing about Danny Boy’s sexuality.
However, this isn’t the first time Suge Knight has disputed Ray J’s claims. Back in 2019, he dismissed the idea that Ray J had his life rights, but still called him “family” and praised his business moves.
With all this drama unfolding, one thing’s for sure—this feud is far from over.
