Pusha T & Pharrell Pack a Punch with ‘Mike Tyson Blow to the Face’
Pusha T and Pharrell are back at it again, delivering a hard-hitting new track, "Mike Tyson Blow to the Face." The song, which lives up to its heavyweight name, features Pusha’s razor-sharp bars over Pharrell’s signature bruising production.
The track was created for Pharrell’s short film, All Day I Dream About Sport—a visually striking 20-minute exploration of West African culture. Co-directed by Pharrell and Gabriel Moses, the film blends art, music, and storytelling, offering a fresh take on the “sport of everyday life” in Dakar, Senegal. Accompanying the film is a hardcover book set to drop this spring.
A Soundtrack with Heavyweight Hits
"Mike Tyson Blow to the Face" plays during a gripping cowboy-inspired scene in the film and is one of three original songs Pharrell produced for the project. While the full soundtrack hasn’t hit streaming platforms yet, fans have already gotten a taste of the track through snippets circulating online.
Beyond this new release, Pusha T and Pharrell are gearing up for something even bigger—the return of Clipse. Their highly anticipated album, Let God Sort ‘Em Out, will mark the duo’s first project in over 15 years, and Pharrell is fully at the helm of production.
A Tastefully Curated Clipse Comeback
Pusha T, known for his meticulous approach to music, has set the bar high for the upcoming album. Speaking on the project, he described it as a “high taste-level piece of work”, emphasizing that every song serves a purpose—no filler, just pure artistry.
His brother and rap partner, Malice, echoed that sentiment, saying, “This is what the true evolution of Clipse looks like. It’s authenticity, smart lyricism, and a masterclass in storytelling.”
Pharrell’s Vision for the Album
Pharrell’s role as the sole producer of Let God Sort ‘Em Out is a nod to the kind of cohesive, cinematic music Clipse wants to create. “These are movies, man,” Pusha T said. “We still want to make full bodies of work.”
While an official release date remains under wraps, Pusha recently reassured fans that the album is done. In an interview with journalist Ari Melber, he teased, “We always take long. People get mad. But it’s done. I promise you. It’s in my phone.”
With Clipse now signed to Def Jam, the anticipation for Let God Sort ‘Em Out is at an all-time high. If "Mike Tyson Blow to the Face" is any indication, fans are in for a knockout.
