Gbemisola, Portable’s elder sister, insists that a family member has cast a spell on the controversial artist, influencing his erratic behavior. She made this revelation as the singer faces legal troubles with the Ogun State government.
Last Thursday, Portable was arraigned—alongside nine associates—by the state police after allegedly assaulting officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. Currently on the run, the singer has pleaded with authorities to free his detained associates, claiming he’s being set up.
In a video from his hideout, Portable not only challenged officials to provide video proof of the alleged assault but also hinted at taking his own life due to the immense frustration.
Reacting to the situation in a viral video, his sister apologized for his actions, blaming a family member named Akeem for spiritually manipulating the singer.
“People of Nigeria, I greet you all. I am Portable’s eldest sister, the first child of our mother. There are just three of us,” she said. “Portable has never stolen anything. I’ve never spoken out before, and he’s never even posted me despite being his sister. But he’s the only one taking care of the family. If not for him, I would have died during my sickness.
“One of our family members, Akeem, is the one casting a spell on Portable, making him misbehave and offend Nigerians.”
