Davido Clears the Air, Vows to Always Protect Tiwa Savage
Davido is putting any rumors of bad blood to rest—especially when it comes to Tiwa Savage. A year after a public fallout that saw Tiwa file a petition claiming Davido threatened her, the Afrobeats star says there’s no bad blood, and he’ll always have her back.
In a recent chat on The Breakfast Club, Davido spoke openly about their history, calling Tiwa his “sister for life.” He made it clear that no matter what may have gone down in the past, his loyalty to her remains.
“We used to stay in the same house. Tiwa changed the game for female artists. We’re family,” he said. “She did reach out. I’ll never allow anything to happen to her.”
Their drama started back in January 2024 when Tiwa posted a photo with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama. That move sparked tension, leading to reports that Davido threatened Tiwa, and her ex-husband, Teebillz, publicly warning Davido to stay in line.
But now, Davido seems focused on peace and moving forward. He emphasized that their fallout was more personal than public, rooted in complicated friendships. Still, he insists that it’s water under the bridge.
“I love her and her child,” Davido added. “It was just a brother and sister fight.”
