“God Cheated Mohbad by Taking Him Too Soon” – Wunmi Opens Up on Grief and Misconceptions
Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has spoken out about the pain of losing her husband, addressing the lingering misconceptions surrounding his life and death. In an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she reflected on their time together and how she’s been coping since his tragic passing.
Wunmi made it clear that Mohbad was not a drug addict, as some have claimed. She described him as a responsible husband, a devoted son, and her best friend, emphasizing how much he meant to his family.
“He was a responsible husband to me and a responsible son to his parents. He was not a drug addict, and he was my best friend,” she said.
She also revealed that their son, Liam, still recognizes his father in pictures, and her mother-in-law has advised her to always remind him that his father has passed. Despite her grief, she acknowledges the support of Adura, who has been a strong father figure for their son.
Wunmi’s deep sorrow was evident as she expressed her belief that Mohbad’s life was cut short unfairly.
“I am still traumatized about my husband’s death, but I know everyone will die one day. I feel God cheated my husband by allowing him to die,” she shared.
Her words have sparked emotional reactions from fans, many of whom continue to mourn Mohbad’s sudden and heartbreaking loss.
