DUO Evo is a doubling plugin by the makers of the renowned auto-tune plugin, if you are an avid reader of exclusivemusicplus reviews, you would have likely come across some doubling plugin reviews, for example, VoxDoubler by Sonnox, or MUnison by MeldaProduction. If you already have one of these, you don’t need this!
Antares DUO works similarly to the plugin I mentioned above, and it is one of the best techniques for fattening up a lead vocal or giving it extra depth., and even spicing up your chorus section in a track.
What I love about this plugin is the simplicity, load an instance on your vocal recording, adjust the Variation parameters to create exactly the doubled voice you're looking for, and hit play.
On top of that, it also includes a simplified version of THROAT Evo’s vocal modeling to provide timbral variation for the doubled part. So you can create a doubled part that sounds like the same person as the lead vocalist or someone else entirely.
DUO Evo’s output section gives you independent control of the level and stereo position of the original and doubled voices, so you can essentially choreograph your two singers.
If you are interested in doubling a vocal realistically, and you have no access to a vocalist, I’ll recommend you give DUO Evo a try, it is simply the quickest, easiest way to enhance vocals with a realistic doubled vocal part.
