Kanye West Thanks Tyler, The Creator for Loyalty Amid Controversy
Kanye West is showing appreciation for Tyler, The Creator, one of the few artists still standing by him despite his recent inflammatory remarks about Nazism, Hitler, and violence against women.
After both Kanye and Tyler celebrated A$AP Rocky’s acquittal in his shooting trial, Ye took to Instagram to share his feelings about his SMUCKERS collaborator. Posting a screenshot of Tyler liking his post about Rocky, Kanye wrote:
“My daughter’s second favorite artist still loves me. As rappers, we’re all like one big family. And I’m that n-gga that still shows out even when there’s white people around.”
While Tyler may still support him, many others have distanced themselves. Kanye’s latest social media tirade has alienated longtime collaborators like Travis Scott and Ty Dolla $ign.
Starting on February 6, Ye unleashed a string of hateful posts on X (formerly Twitter), calling for Diddy’s release from jail before launching into antisemitic rhetoric.
“IM NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS. I CAN SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANNA SAY FOREVER. WHERES MY FUCKING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS. SUCK MY DICK. HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY.”
His past antisemitic remarks already cost him his lucrative Adidas deal, but that hasn’t stopped him from doubling down.
“BE CLEAR YOU JEWISH N-GGAS DONT RUN ME NO MORE. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY AND THIS IS MY FREE OPINION. YOU ABORT BLACK CHILDREN FOR STEM CELLS. ABORTION IS MURDER AND ITS PUSHED ONTO THE BLACK AND LATINO COMMUNITIES.”
Despite his erratic behavior, Kanye insists he’s “completely sober” and not experiencing a manic episode.
“AINT NOBODY RAMPED UP EITHER. IM CALM AS ICE. THIS HOW I REALLY FEEL, HOW I REALLY FELT, AND HOW I WILL ALWAYS FEEL. FUCK ALL OF YOUR FUCK ASS UNFAIR BUSINESS DEALS. [ANY] JEWISH PERSON THAT DOES BUSINESS WITH ME NEEDS TO KNOW I DONT LIKE OR TRUST ANY JEWISH PERSON. [AND] THIS IS COMPLETELY SOBER WITH NO HENNESY.”
With each post, Kanye continues to isolate himself from the industry and burn bridges. While Tyler, The Creator may still show him love, many others are walking away.
