MUnison by MeldaProduction (✔️ Review)

MUnison is a doubler, and an intuitive plug-in by MeldaProduction.

I detailed a situation in VocalSynth 2 review, where you can use the Polyvox module to create multiple vocals in unison, the downside of using the VocalSynth 2, is that it is an overkill for a simple effect you can achieve with a plugin designed for that, which is where MUnison comes in, It lets you create an awesome double-tracking effect with automatically scaled harmonies, and much more.

In this review guide, you would learn...

  • The Features of MUnison by MeldaProduction
  • If it is worth using at all
  • Prices
  • and more, let's get started...

Multiple Virtual Voices

The way this works practically is by analyzing the signal, detecting the pitch (You can also set the depth, shape, and speed), and generating other voices.

There are lots of interesting and creative effects you can create with MUnison, for example, you can live the main pitch intact, while also playing with the harmonies (following the scale you choose) with the virtual voices, this would create an orchestra kinda vibes. So, just play with different settings!

A Seamless Modulation Effect

If you want to take your creative process to the next level, you can play and enjoy the modulation aspect of this plugin, it lets you modulate any parameter from sources such as an LFO, audio level follower, envelope generator, randomizer, or pitch detector. Your sound will never be static again.

Bonus

As a bonus, well this shouldn't even be a bonus, it's expected. You'll find M/S, surround support as well as other channel modes, A-H presets for easy comparisons, our easy-to-use integrated help system, automatic gain compensation, and much more.

Is MUnison Worth Using?

This would greatly depend on several factors, after reading the features, do you actually have a need for this? are you interested in creating a doubler effect? (as you probably missed one with the vocalist in the studio), or do you just want to try something unique with your vocal recordings?

If your answer is yes, then I'll recommend it, it can pretty well save you time, I'll be honest here, it looks quite expensive, so, if you are just getting started, you might actually want to try some free ones, e.g AegeanMusic – PitchProof, this is good for the start.

MUnison Pricing

It is priced at $109.00 at the time of writing this review! and the good thing is, you get free for-life updates.

System Requirements

Windows

  • Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • VST / VST3 / AAX compatible host (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Intel/AMD processor with SSE2 support

Always use 32-bit plugins in 32-bit hosts or 64-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts!

64-bit plugins can't work in 32-bit hosts even if the operating system is 64-bit. Do NOT use 32-bit plugins in 64-bit hosts. They would have to be bridged and can become slow and unstable.

Mac OS X

  • Mac OS X (10.7 and newer, 32-bit or 64-bit)
  • VST / VST3 / AU / AAX compatible host (32-bit or 64-bit)
  • Intel/AMD processor with SSE2 support
