Venom by W.A Production (Plugin Review)

In some cases, you need more than reverb and delay to polish your audio recordings, which is where Venom by W.A Production comes in...

Venom is a powerful spectral processing plug-in that could reform audio signals into many types of sounds from subtle granular movements to unrecognizable soundscapes. Whether you are a sound designer, musician, EDM, or afro-beats producers, or anyone who needs to transform their raw audio, you would find Venom useful.

As I always recommend, start with a presets, and walk your way through, let's see some of the Venom features...

Venom Features

Venom Two-Stage Processing

The way venom works is first capturing and storing the snapshots of the incoming sound, and then applying the audio effects to the signal continuously while creating feedback, e.g a long reverb tail.

Venom Tools

Venom comes bundled with 7 creative audio effects such as Focus, Feaze, Decay & Damping for the creation of unusual, beautiful-sounding ambiances. Mirror, Pitch & Slope to generate experimental spectral transformations. Any combination of these is possible for other unique soundscapes.

Hot-Swappable FX

The interesting thing about Venom is the modularity of the GUI, you can drag an individual effect into the desired position in the processing chain to define the order of effects processing.

Live or Studio

Venom comes with user-controllable parameters for various aspects of spectral resolution that allow you to find the best settings for any environment; in the studio, on the road, or in a live setting.

Bypass Control

The Venom logo acts as a bypass control for the whole plugin and is smoothed to click and pop-free for unhindered A/B testing. Use it to swap between your original audio and the Venom transformations.
